Help for Top25z: Amazon Category Bestsellers, the Chrome extension that shows the Amazon category you are on and the top items in every category that product ranks in.

How to use it

  1. On an Amazon product page, click the Top25z icon. Top items is selected and lists every Best Sellers Rank category for that item. Click a category to see the top items there. Deals & lists opens Today’s Deals, Best Sellers, Outlet, and the other Amazon pages.
  2. On any other page, including Amazon home, search, or deals, the popup offers Today’s Deals, other featured Amazon lists, and a top-25 Best Sellers page for each department. Click one to open it.
  3. After you open a product, click Top25z again to load that item’s category lists.

If the current product appears in a list, it is marked This item. Use Amazon Best Sellers to open that full list on Amazon. Use Refresh if you scrolled the Amazon page or switched products in the same tab. If the current tab is already an Amazon page, a browse button opens there. From any other site, it opens a new tab. Clicking a category the current item ranks in reloads that product page with the Associates tag, replacing a tag already in the address. Other Amazon links from the popup include the same tag.

Common questions

I am not on a product page

The popup then lists Amazon pages to open: Today’s Deals, All Best Sellers, New Releases, Most Wished For, Most Gifted, Outlet, Coupons, and a top-25 list for each major department. On a product page those same pages are under Deals & lists, next to Top items. Choosing one opens that page on the Amazon site matching your current Amazon tab, or on Amazon.com if you are somewhere else.

It does not find any categories

On a product page, Amazon often loads Best Sellers Rank further down under Product details. Scroll until that section is visible, then click Refresh in the popup. Some products (or some marketplaces) hide ranks; in that case the browse trail at the top of the page is still shown when Amazon provides it.

The top-items list is empty or asks for a check

The extension loads Amazon’s Best Sellers pages in your browser. If Amazon shows a robot check, try the yellow Amazon Best Sellers link, complete any check Amazon asks for, then return to the popup and click Refresh. You can also try again later.

Does it work in other countries?

Yes, on the Amazon domains the extension is allowed to use (United States, Canada, UK, and other marketplaces listed in the Chrome permission prompt). It reads the Amazon site you currently have open.

Why does Chrome ask for site access?

Amazon access is required so the popup can read the page you clicked on and load Best Sellers lists for those categories. It does not access other websites. Details are in the privacy policy.

Are the Amazon links paid?

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Links opened from the extension include an Associates tag. Clicking a category the current item ranks in also reloads that product page with the tag.

How do I uninstall it?

In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, find Top25z, and click Remove. That deletes the extension and its session cache.

Still stuck?
